In 2015, SBM ITB held various academic conferences and symposium as following:

1. Indonesia International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (IICIES)

Indonesia International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (IICIES) is an annual conference held by Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership (CIEL SBM ITB). IICIES has always involved the three pillars in the process of technology commercialization and small business empowerment: academics, business, and government. Researches are focused on the areas of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, management of technology, leadership, and managing small business and start-up.

IICIES is a place for researchers, academics and practitioners to collaborate for the development of innovation, entrepreneurship and growth of small and medium businesses through publication of their works, inspiring talks, tailor-made workshops, and scientific discussions. First launched on 2009, IICIES has gathered numerous of international experts in the respective fields and thousands of multinational participants from all across the world.

2. International Conference on Human Capital and Knowledge Management (ICHCKM)

This international conference is particularly as a joint cooperation between School of Business and Management-Institut Teknologi Bandung-Indonesia and Razak School of Engineering and Advanced Technology-Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and supported by Faculty of Economics, Business and Communication, Naresuan University-Thailand as a university partner. The conference has been scheduled to be held on in the 11 – 13 February 2015 in Bandung-West Java, Indonesia.

The scopes in this conference are very wide, involving Human Capital Management, Knowledge Management and Learning Organization whereas these areas are very important and crucial in order to create business competitiveness for many organizations in all over the world. The existence of HCM, KM and LO are the main drivers to convert all of organization capital to the high-performance people and organization competitiveness to counter the speed and robust of change in many aspects of organizations.

3. Knowledge Management Summit (KM Summit)

Indonesia is a resource driven economy. According to a research, the economic growth of resource driven economy countries are lower compare to knowledge driven economy countries. Therefore, the main challenge for Indonesia is to shift from resource driven economy to knowledge driven economy.

4. Indonesia-Japan Symposium on Management of Technology (MoT) 2015

Indonesia-Japan Symposium on Management of Technology (MoT) 2015 is a symposium that is held through cooperation between Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) and Yamaguchi University Management of Technology (YUMoT). This symposium will provide insight and understanding the importance of the role of technological management for the sustainability of a country. This MoT symposium will provide opportunity to experience sharing (lesson learned) related to technological management implementation in Indonesian and Japanese companies in the sectors that have become Indonesia?s mainstay (manufacturing, telecommunication, oil and gas, agro industry and maritime).

5. Agent-based Approach in Economic and Social Complex Systems (AESCS)

Social sciences are now on a new stage. One of the promising methodologies is agent-based modeling. Pan-Asian Association for Agent-based Approach in Social Systems Sciences (PAAA) is the Pan-Asian regional platform to explore the frontiers. AESCS 2015, the regular conference of PAAA, mainly focuses on applications of agent-based technologies to social complex systems. Conference participants will present the latest results of various researches, and discuss emergent phenomena and modeling issues of social complex systems, which will provide further understanding on social complex problems with agent-based technologies.AESCS 2015 will also give opportunities to discuss the effectiveness and limitations of computational models and methodologies for social sciences.
