SBM ITB and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) held a talk on ‘Innovation to Commercialization: How MIT Does it?’ at Jakarta Campus (20/9/2019). “Innovation is about sustainable competitiveness. Working together with innovation leader is good investment,” said the Program Director of MIT, Dr CJ Guo in front of 20 business leaders incorporated in SBM ITB’s business networks.
“Innovation is free spirits and out of the box thinking and working together with the best ecosystem. Innovation is needed in every step from discovery to market place ‘value chain’, requiring different players in different stages of working together,” told the Director.
Innovation value chain, according to him, consisted of players such as academia, start-ups, venture capital, industry, and government, in which all players had different primary tasks and key drivers. “We have partnerships with over 200 of the world’s leading companies and we welcome Indonesian companies to join the platform,” Guo added.
