Bagas Naufal Prayitno, or usually called “Baba” at a glance seems like a regular student of SBM ITB, but if you go deeper and listen to his journey in SBM ITB, you will amaze on how brilliant he is. Baba is one of SBM ITB students from the 2019 Batch of Management Program who will graduate in October 2019. He is graduate from SBM ITB with Cumlaude predicate and gets the highest GPA in his batch, 3.89 out of 4.00.
Besides having a good academic record proven by an excellent GPA, Baba is also expanding his experience and knowledge outside campus by joining several competitions such as CFA Institute Research Challenge, Ecopreneur Business Plan, Deloitte Tax Challenge, and many more. Not only joining the competition, but he also win it. He successfully won the 4th place in CFA Institute Research Challenge, 1st winner in Ecopreneur Business Plan, and Top 5 Deloitte Tax Challenge.
This outstanding man who enjoys spending his leisure time in the gym also said that he actively involves in several organizations such as Tim MWA-WM ITB, Relawan Teman Berbagi, and KSEP, “Yes I try to balance my academic life by joining several organizations. I joined Tim MWA-WM ITB, Relawan Teman Berbagi, and KSEP. KSEP is a student unit (UKM) that studies Economics and Capital Markets.” Said Baba. Baba is interested in the capital market and anything related with Finance. It is not surprising that he takes Finance as his concentration.
During his journey at SBM ITB, Baba experiences some ups and downs, especially regarding academic life, “What I really like from SBM ITB is the academic activities which are really challenging. SBM ITB stretched me a lot. The learning system is dynamic, it affects my self-development. As a consequence, I do not have much rest time since my time mostly used for academic life.” The academic system in SBM ITB which involves a lot of group project also being a challenge for Baba because he needs to do some projects with people who comes from various background.
Before closing the conversation, Baba is giving some words for students who are currently in the final year or will be having their final year soon, “Good luck friends, I believe you can do it. Give your best in everything, and it surely will pay you off. Push hard, but do not forget to take a rest.” Said Baba.
