The Director of Human Capital & Transformation of PT Jasa Marga (Persero), Tbk., Enkky Sasono, shared his experience on human capital management practices in the context of State-Owned Entreprises, particularly at Jasa Marga, in the guest lecture session for the Compensation & Managing Employees course on Tuesday (26/10/2021).
The development of Indonesian human resources towards the era of technology and information encourages State-Owned Enterprises, including Jasa Marga, to produce future leaders. In realizing this vision, Jasa Marga has transformed their human capital management with the fundamental mission of encouraging the development and improvement of employee performance in a harmonious environment.
“In managing its talent, Jasa Marga has developed six systems: human capital architecture, establishing AKHLAK core values, talent management system, talent learning & development, performance management system, and improving the total reward system. The entire system runs effectively, quickly, and accurately with technology as its catalyst and enabler, also leadership as the key driver,” said Enkky.
In addition, Jasa Marga also creates a work environment with the concept of an open space that is friendly, unconfined, and comfortable, thereby increasing motivation and boosting employee productivity. Enkky further stated that the Work From Home (WFH) concept due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation inspired Jasa Marga to consider implementing flexible working hours in the future.
In facing industry 4.0 and the world conditions in the VUCA era where many emerging and declining jobs will appear, Jasa Marga is constantly preparing its employees to confront business challenges by shifting competencies through an ecosystem that supports learning and development. Some of the programs that Jasa Marga has implemented include digital education, webinars, scholarships, and training.
Enkky ended his presentation by showing the achievements of Jasa Marga’s millennial talents who had high positions at their young age and even received recognition for their achievements both locally and internationally.
“In the future, I hope that more of our millennials can take their career further, be it in government, SEO, or elsewhere so that SEO can realize their vision as a talent factory,” Enkky concluded.
