Satyalancana Wira Karya, a sign of honor given by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to people who have given charity to the country and nation of Indonesia so that they can be role models for others, was recently obtained by one of the active students of the ITB Double Degree Asean MBA, Rizqi Ayunda Pratama. In SBM ITB Talks Episode 56, we will explore the story and journey of the speaker regarding his work and dedication to getting this honorable award.
The Implementation of E-Voting
Rizqi Ayunda Pratama received the Satyalancana Wira Karya award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia for his work, namely E-Voting, a regional head election system with an electronic method that he developed. E-Voting has been developed since xx and until now has been used by more than 2,000 villages in Indonesia in facilitating the village head election process.
Departing from Anxiety about the Election Process
The reason for the development of E-Voting started from Rizqi’s concern about the many problems that occurred in the regional head election process, ranging from the lack of transparency, the length of the vote counting process, to the overwork experienced by election officials who once made one of the election administrators die. . According to Rizqi, with the development of various technological innovations that are now available, plus all Indonesians who already have an E-KTP, he feels that the election process can be carried out in a much more effective and efficient way.
E-Voting!
The E-Voting system he developed makes the vote accumulation process automatic, fast, and accurate. More than that, not too many human resources are needed so that it can save the budget for election organizers. Verification of the voters can also be clearer, fake data is avoided, there is no double voting, and so on. So many benefits can be obtained from the development of this E-Voting system.
