The SBM ITB entrepreneurship student association, IMK Artha, held a Welcoming Party for the class of 2024 on Friday (18/2/2022). The event, a collaboration between the Internal Event division and Recruitment & Development in the Arthanegata cabinet, is also a socialization event for the entrepreneurship study program for TPB SBM ITB students who have yet to choose a major.
The event was marked by the welcoming remarks from Rafi Firlana Aliansyah, the current Chairman of BP IMK Artha. In line with how the entrepreneurship major is known for its solidarity, Rafi suggested the new students build strong bonds with their fellows. “You are the successors to the management and people of IMK Artha, give your best for entrepreneurship program and IMK Artha. Don’t be apathetic, have a strong family-like relationship, and embrace each other,” said Rafi.
The session then continued with a presentation about IMK Artha, from its history to the current management body of IMK Artha, the Arthanegata Cabinet, including programs of various divisions in the Arthanegata Cabinet, such as Student Welfare, Bondink, Artha Connect, and many more.
In addition, mentoring sessions were also held, with the 2023 and 2022 entrepreneurship students sharing about student life in the entrepreneurship department. This session also addresses questions about the entrepreneurship department, including the circulating perception about the entrepreneurship major, said to be not as busy as its management counterpart.
“It depends on the person. We (entrepreneurship students) do have free time on weekdays. Still, as an entrepreneur, of course, we should make the best use of our free time to develop our business and find ways to sustain it by doing productive activities such as reading books,” Rafi shares his opinion.
After games and photo sessions, the event was concluded with a welcoming session for the interns at the IMK Artha.
