Prawira Fajarindra Belgiawan, S.T., M. Eng., Ph.D., assistant professor at SBM ITB make the SBM ITB proud for his achievement.
Prawira is included in the 10 Young Lecturers with the most Q1 Publications in 2019–2022. The achievement was announced at the ITB Scientific Culture Festival on Thursday, 11/08/2022
The Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Partnership ITB presented the award at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) ITB, ITB Chancellor. The award was presented to Fajar and nine other ITB young lecturers.
Fajar wins this award due to his achievements in publishing many scholarly works. His research has been cited 922 times on Google Scholar.
One of Fajar’s outstanding works is his study of changes in activity and travel during the early COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, entitled “Exploring Activity-Travel Behavior Changes During the Beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Indonesia”. The paper was published in the international journal Transportation in 2022 and has been cited 64 times.
“When I was studying for a master’s degree, my professor said that when we start research, the research must contribute to society and the academic world,” said Fajar when asked about his motivation for achieving impressive performance in the academic world. “So, I rectify my intention in research and teaching to serve people, working with my knowledge to benefit many people.”
Fajar’s track record as a young lecturer at SBM ITB is impressive. Before this award, Fajar was also awarded the ITB Best Researcher for the Business and Management Category in 2020 and the ITB Best Award in Teaching Activities for the Business and Management Category in 2021. The awards he has received continuously for the past three years are a testament to his hard work. He is a brilliant young lecturer full of dedication. This award is expected to trigger the enthusiasm of young lecturers to be more productive in producing excellent scholarly works.
