SBM ITB carried out a series of activities in Merauke, Papua, from August 21 to 27, 2022. This series of activities is a community service with the title “E-Learning” with material on the packaging, pricing ( pricing), bookkeeping, photography, and digital marketing (digital marketing).
As an educational institution, SBM ITB has an essential role in educating the Indonesian people, especially those related to business management. Therefore, the material presented in a series of e-learning programs in Merauke, Indonesia, is an introductory material that can be implemented by young people with an entrepreneurial spirit in their business.
Not only workshops but this series of activities is also documented as presentation videos and e-books to establish e-learning. Even though the distance is quite far, we hope this program can be continuously implemented and disseminated to the younger generation and foster an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as encourage and educate young people with entrepreneurial potential and talents to develop their businesses further.
We also hope that e-learning will become a bridge and a medium where physical distance is no longer a limitation for learning, especially about business and management, which continues to evolve following technological developments.
In addition to e-learning, SBM ITB also sees that a commodity distribution scheme is needed to maximize the potential in Merauke, Papua. Therefore, SBM ITB is also present with the research “Commodity Distribution Scheme to Support the Creative Industry Ecosystem in Merauke City, Papua.”
The survey results reveal that Merauke City has enormous potential. We see many business opportunities to develop. However, the processing of abundant resources has not been maximized. In addition to processing, we also see that distribution, raw materials, and finished goods have not yet started due to unsupportive infrastructure constraints.
Therefore, SBM ITB comes with a commodity distribution scheme to support the creative industry ecosystem in Merauke City, Papua. The resulting project is hoped to optimize the distribution of commodities that will benefit creative industry players in Merauke City, Papua.
