TikTok’s Growth Client Solutions Team Lead, Fikry Ardiansyah, said storytelling is now a major component in digital marketing strategies. Good storytelling highlights the value of a product related to consumer conditions.
Building good storytelling requires the basics of thinking to communicate the value of an excellent product to consumers. Besides, good storytelling also requires character and creativity to show the strength of each product from the content produced.
Fikry explained the position of storytelling in digital marketing in a guest lecture session for the Master of Business Administration at the Bandung Institute of Technology (MBA ITB) for the Young Professional 67A (YP67A) MBA ITB class at Jalan Gelap Nyawang, Bandung, on Monday, November 7, 2022.
In this class, Fikri elaborated the digital marketing mindset, identification of superior products in the business, how to involve consumers in business, how to map the types of consumers through the method of purchasing frequency, and the frequency of spending in a period.
Fikry said that, in storytelling, it is essential to pay attention to the first five seconds and the last five seconds. This time determines whether the audience will continue watching our content.
With the increasingly rapid digital development, it is essential to apply the ATM (observe, imitate, modify) principle so that our content continues to attract consumers’ attention.
