Starting from the communications and information technology department of the Indika Energy Group, Xapiens Technology Indonesia has continued to grow in Indika. In 2022, or three years since the spin-off, Xapiens has more than 300 technology partners, 50 clients, and nine fields of operation.
The company has experienced a 3x growth since its launch in 2019. Indika has made Xapiens a company with increasingly large technological needs, mainly due to the industrial revolution 4.0.
CEO of Xapiens Technology Indonesia, Muhamad Nursahid, explained, Xapiens contributed 38% of the additional income to external clients. To date, Xapiens said Sahid offers products and services in artificial intelligence, digital platforms, ERP, cloud, data analytics, IT infrastructure, cyber security, IT management services, and business consulting.
Sahid explained the transformation of Xapiens into a company when he was invited to a guest lecture at the Management Study Program SBM ITB, at the XIX Freeport SBM ITB Engineering Laboratory Building Monday (6/2), which all students of class 2023 attended. Sahid explained that in the process of business transformation, challenges must be faced.
When Xapiens becomes a business entity, it must market its products, no longer only serving the parent company. Those who previously had an ICT background must also study marketing.
Xapiens must also reconsolidate the clients who had worked together when it was under the ICT department of Indika Energy Group. Xapiens also resolves and develops the human capital, thinking, work culture, organizational structure, and legal issues from the previous system.
To face these challenges, said Sahid, Xapiens maximizes the Human Capital Function. Xapiens divides it into three processes: strategic, core, and support. Xapiens can develop future strategies by compiling the values from these steps.
“Well, because we are all engineers, we are maximizing the use of the humans or workers we have,” said Sahid.
Xapiens develops company values and maps job roles according to competency profiles. Xapiens also concocts a support process by holding bonding activities between staff.
SOPs are also prepared as guidelines for employees in working and maintaining consistency. Employees will find it easier to work when they understand the steps and scope of work.
Interestingly, everything in the company has been transformed digitally. According to Sahid, this digitalization has been proven to spur the company’s development.
