The ITB Management Student Family Election Committee (KMM) held speeches for the chairman candidates at the JNE Business Lab Tribune on Thursday (6/4). The oration is part of the KMM ITB 2023 election agenda series.
This event is an essential step in selecting the leaders of the SBM ITB student organization for the upcoming organizational year. There are three competing candidates: two candidates for chairman of the BP KMM organizational set and one candidate for chairman of the KMM Senatorship organization senator.
Chairman of the 2023 KMM ITB Election Committee, Yusuf Ahmad Rizky, explained that the purpose of the oration session was to get to know the prospective leaders in terms of personality and vision before moving on to the next agenda, such as campaigns, debates, and voting to elect new leaders for the SBM ITB student organization.
Naufal Makarim, the first candidate for chairman of the BP KMM association, discussed his vision of creating an inclusive and caring school environment. He stressed the importance of building a community that is not only focused on academic matters but also social and emotional ones.
“Look at the people around you. Have we cared enough for them?” said Naufal Makarim in his oration.
The second candidate for chairman of the BP KMM association is Widhiyaffa Akbariaza. He outlined his vision to create an organization that encourages inclusivity and values multiple perspectives. He focused on creating an atmosphere where everyone is heard and respected regardless of background, views, or interests.
“Before, I participated in many activities at SBM ITB as a participant only. However, now I dare to step forward as an organization leader so that I can develop this organization better,” he said regarding his motivation to run for this election.
Ammar Irfansyah, the only candidate for the KMM Senatorship organization, focused on creating an organization that genuinely listens to the voices and aspirations of students. He stressed the importance of creating a space where students can express their opinions and suggestions to improve the quality of the institution.
“A chairman of the KMM Senatorship must have leadership skills and the ability to have valuable discussions with many people. I think I meet this qualification,” said Ammar in the question and answer session.
The 2023 KMM ITB Election Oration went well. This activity allows students to participate in the democratic process and select leaders who best represent their aspirations and values. Campaign activities, debates, and voting sessions to select the next student organization leader at SBM ITB are eagerly awaited by students and all parties at SBM ITB.
