Leaders must have a clear vision and mission to achieve the desired future goals. This involves allocating resources with various strategies.
“The best strategy in the world is a implemented strategy,” said Priyantono Rudito, M.Bus., Ph.D., Vice Chairman of SEAL AWS (Social Economy Accelerator Lab, Amazon Web Service) when presenting the ITB Leadership Knowledge Sharing with the theme “Leadership: Influencing Each Other” at the Freeport Building, SBM ITB on Monday (16/10).
All heads of study programs within ITB were present at the session. In this session, Rudito also outlined a strategic framework for creating sustainable growth.
“For a leader, the first consideration should be the lasting impact,” said Rudito, who also serves as Advisor to the Minister of Strategic Management at Padjadjaran University.
According to Rudito, a comprehensive understanding of the future can be obtained through SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, Environmental) analysis. In the context of change and disruption, Rudito illustrated the Beyond 4.0 phenomenon, where the health sector evolves into an advanced future ecosystem. He also pointed out the Digital Vortex 2021, which indicated that education was the second most vulnerable sector to disruption after media and entertainment.
Rudito explained the concept of university revolution 4.0, which includes evolution from limited education to the rights of all citizens, digital transformation, and achieving comprehensive transformation. To face these changes, it is necessary to analyze future university transformation scenarios.
Priyantono Rudito emphasized the importance of starting planning by identifying the desired end goal as a leader. Rudito hopes that the ITB Leadership Knowledge Sharing will provide valuable insight into how strong leadership and the right strategy can help institutions and individuals achieve success in the future.
“I hope this can be implemented in each study program,” said Rudito.
