Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is a statistical technique used to assess the fit of a factor model to empirical data. It is a crucial method that tests factors based on existing hypotheses.
Clint Gunawijaya, an instructor at the SBM ITB, conveyed this information during a statistical workshop titled “Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) in SPSS” at the SBM ITB Computer Laboratory in Bandung on Monday (13/11). The workshop, organized by SBM, aimed to enhance insights into statistical data analysis using SPSS, attracting participants from SBM and various faculties within ITB. Clint emphasized that Confirmatory Factor Analysis can be employed for data analysis and thesis writing.
At the onset of the workshop, many participants lacked a clear understanding of the fundamental theory and application of confirmatory factor analysis. Clint Gunawijaya diligently and comprehensively instructed the students. Ultimately, by the workshop’s conclusion, many participants acknowledged that they had better understood how Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) functions in statistical data analysis.
