Twenty startups, or pioneering companies, have joined the business incubation program, The Greater Hub XVII, initiated by the SBM ITB. The Director of The Greater Hub, Dr. Dina Dellyana, officially opened the program in Bandung on Friday (6/9). The Greater Hub XVII is designed to foster innovation, create ventures, and support the management of small businesses within the SBM ITB community through a comprehensive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
During the opening of The Greater Hub XVII, the twenty startups participated in the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) Setting and DISC Personality sessions. Dr. Dina states that OKR is an effective management tool for setting company goals and aligning the team with measurable key results. A successful startup must have clear objectives and focus on measurable outcomes to ensure growth.
“Startups need to know where they are headed and how to achieve those goals,” she emphasized.
Meanwhile, Nurfaisa Hidayanti, a psychologist from SBM ITB, assessed the DISC personality profiles of each founder from the selected startups. DISC is an assessment method that maps a person’s personality based on four primary dimensions: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. Nurfaisa explained the results of the DISC assessments and how the founders’ personalities could influence their leadership styles and business development strategies.
Through this training, participants are expected to be better equipped to face challenges in the business world, with clear goals and a deeper understanding of themselves and their teams. The Greater Hub remains committed to providing ongoing support and mentorship to startups through its holistic incubation program. This initiative is a crucial first step for startups to solidify their business foundations, drive innovation, and foster collaboration in a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem.
