TikTok Shop offers a unique purchasing journey called the infinity loop concept, setting it apart from other e-commerce platforms and social media. This journey begins with discovery, followed by consideration, purchase, review, participation, and finally, repurchase.

Meinar Dyan Muslimah, Head of E-commerce at ParagonCorp, shared these insights during the Wardah Creator Connect Roadshow talk show themed “New Business Landscape in the Digital Era.” The event, a collaboration between the SBM ITB and ParagonCorp, took place on Wednesday (4/12). Meinar was joined by Nabila Ishma Nurhabibah, a successful content creator, as a guest speaker.

Meinar also explained the customer journey concept on TikTok, known as the 4S model: scroll, search, stream, and shop. This framework highlights how consumers interact with TikTok’s digital platform.

By leveraging TikTok’s unique features, ParagonCorp has achieved 35-fold growth over the past 4.5 years. Meinar noted that optimized use of TikTok’s live streaming feature can generate sales of up to IDR 500 million in just two hours, demonstrating the significant impact of e-commerce on business development. She emphasized the importance of keeping pace with digital advancements to succeed in business.

Nabila Ishma, meanwhile, shared her journey of becoming a content creator, starting with uncertainty but ultimately finding her purpose in creating educational content with a positive impact. She attributed her success to self-awareness and understanding what she wanted to share with her followers.

“Know yourself and what you want to share. The right self-branding determines the platform you choose and the target market you want to reach,” Nabila advised.

She also highlighted the importance of adapting to ever-changing social media algorithms. According to Nabila, success as a content creator relies on creativity and staying updated with social media trends and maintaining consistency in content creation.

Addressing insecurities in content creation, Nabila emphasized the value of having a unique characteristic that sets one apart. This, she explained, fosters stronger connections with followers and builds trust.

“Define your goals and the message you want to convey from the start,” she added.

Nabila also shared tips for creating engaging TikTok content, noting the platform’s simplicity.

“Content on TikTok is effortless. Just open the camera and edit directly in the app. Don’t be afraid to follow trends, as the hook in the first three seconds is crucial to grabbing the audience’s attention,” she explained.

Concluding her talk, Nabila offered an inspiring message to participants:

“We must keep learning and adapting to the times. In this digital era, we are not only competing with other people but also with technology. Don’t be afraid to try new things.”
