The Management Student Family (KMM) of SBM ITB was privileged to visit PwC Indonesia’s Jakarta office on Friday (6/12). The visit aimed to provide students with insights into one of the world’s leading professional services firms and to inspire them as they prepare to enter the workforce. KMM ITB Chair Habibie Harvian expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, noting the participation of students from all academic levels, from new to recent graduates.
Diani Alendhita, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at PwC Indonesia and an ITB alumna, provided an overview of PwC’s global operations. With a presence in 151 countries and 688 offices, including two in Indonesia, PwC Indonesia has been a key player since its establishment in 1971. The firm employs over 3,600 professionals and offers services in assurance, tax, legal, business deals, consulting, and internal corporate functions.
“PwC’s goal is ‘To build trust in society and solve important problems,’” said Dita during her presentation.
Dita also shared recruitment tips with the students, detailing PwC’s structured hiring process, which includes CV screening, online assessments, HR interviews, and user interviews. She emphasized crafting a clear and relevant CV to stand out in the competitive job market.
The session also featured career stories from PwC Advisory Senior Manager Angga Pradhana and PwC Indonesia Infrastructure Advisory Senior Manager Radhiyan Irwansyah. Angga spoke about the steep learning curve he faced early in his career and the value of maintaining a proactive attitude in the consulting field. Radhiyan shared his decision to transition from Bank Indonesia to PwC, highlighting the differences in work culture and career development opportunities between the two organizations.
The students were later given a tour of PwC Indonesia’s office, allowing them to observe the company’s professional work environment and explore its state-of-the-art facilities. This firsthand experience offered a unique glimpse into the daily operations of a leading consulting firm, leaving a strong impression on the participants.
The visit provided valuable career insights and strengthened the collaboration between ITB and industry leaders like PwC Indonesia. It inspired students to excel in their professional journeys and underscored the importance of industry engagement in shaping future leaders.
