Ditreveille, a startup founded by alumni of SBM ITB, was awarded Best Pitch at the Bandung Startup Pitching Day (BSPD) 2024. The event, held on Tuesday (12/12) on the 3rd floor of the CRCS Building at ITB, Bandung, brought together leading startups from Bandung and its surrounding areas. Organized by six key entities in the startup ecosystem—The Greater Hub SBM ITB, Startup Bandung, Geek Hunter, Block71 Bandung, and DKST—BSPD 2024 showcased the region’s best entrepreneurial talent.
Ditreveille specializes in transforming plastic waste into furniture and household products. Amanda Prita Kirana, the founder of Ditreveille, expressed her nervousness during the pitch, especially since her business had only been operational for one year and the presentation was conducted in English.
“However, I’m thrilled with the outcome. Moving forward, I aim to develop and scale this business to achieve a greater social impact and wider recognition,” said Amanda, a Bachelor of Entrepreneurship graduate from SBM ITB, Class of 2022.
BSPD 2024 attracted the attention of many participants, including local and international investors, entrepreneurs, and startup enthusiasts. A total of 20 selected startups presented their innovative business ideas, providing an opportunity to connect with potential investors and collaborators.
Dr. Dina Dellyana, Head of The Greater Hub SBM ITB Incubator, commended the participants for their dedication and efforts in joining BSPD 2024.
“With this event, we hope that participating startups will gain broader exposure to venture capital and establish strategic collaborations,” said Dina during her opening remarks.
Irwan Gumilar, Head of LPIK ITB, emphasized that BSPD is not just a platform for securing investment but also an avenue for startups to share their programs and plans with a wider audience.
“This event symbolizes the collaboration among SBM ITB, DKST, Greater Hub, Block71, Startup Bandung, and Geek Hunter in supporting the startup ecosystem in Bandung and Indonesia,” said Irwan.
The participating startups represented diverse sectors, including sustainability, environmental solutions, and technology-based services. Key focus areas included agritech, edutech, fintech, waste management, and the creative industry. Each startup had five minutes to pitch, followed by a four-minute Q&A session with two judges.
At the event’s conclusion, four standout startups received prestigious awards in various categories. Skuling earned the Most Innovative award for its game-based edutech platform. Curaweda Palangan Innotech was named Most Marketable for its cinematic concept based on historical artefacts, which successfully doubled the income of its partner palace. The Most Impactful category went to Algatek Karbon Nusantara, whose algae-based carbon capture technology effectively reduces carbon pollution, targeting major industries such as PLN and the UN.
BSPD 2024 marks a significant milestone in building a sustainable startup ecosystem. With ongoing support from diverse stakeholders, the event is expected to reinforce Bandung’s position as a hub for technological innovation in Indonesia and beyond. BSPD 2024 demonstrates that collaboration is essential for fostering a more innovative, inclusive, and sustainable future.
