Election of Abang None North Jakarta is an annual activity held by the Department of Tourism and Culture, North Jakarta Administrative City. Before the determination of the Abang and None winners carried out on the final night, 15 couple of finalists who have been selected from the audition process consisting of 15 Abang and 15 None will join a quarantine process for two months.
This year, the quarantine is held from February 24 to April 24, the schedule on weekends start from Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and a full week before the final night. During the quarantine period 15 Couple of finalists were given various forms of debriefing, including the provision of materials consisting of 7 main fields, such as government, tourism, culture, foreign languages, psychology, personal branding and dress ethics. Then, all 15 couple of finalists also participated in some of the main quarantine activities such as public speaking held in Ancol, talent shows, and evenings and alumni nights held at Ancol Art Market. The finalists also visited 12 Coastal Tourist Destinations, which are coastal attractions located in North Jakarta. Not to forget, social programs were also carried out in order to provide education and also assistance to the people of North Jakarta.
On the final night, which was held on April 25, 2019, there were various series of activities to evaluate the winners, including dancing traditional dances, fashion shows, questions and answers, and also crowning the winners. After going through the quarantine process for two months and the final night, 15 couple of North Jakarta Abang and None will be in charge for the next one year as a North Jakarta tourism ambassador who will also participate in running various programs both in improving education, cultural preservation and social care.
