“This empowerment must be done continuously until it is successful; we do not feel tired to empower,” said Dr H. Erzaldi Rosman as Governor of Bangka Belitung islands in the opening of the workshop on the Role of Women in Digital Marketing to Expand the Supply Chain of Superior Products to the Bangka Belitung Region, organized offline at the Mahligai Building, the Office of the Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands Monday (14/2/2022).
This workshop targets PKK (Family Welfare Education) women in the Bangka Belitung area, especially those joining the Sekuntum Melati (School for Women to Become Independent and Trained) in the Bangka Belitung Islands. It is the first form of collaboration between the School of Business and Management of the Bandung Institute of Technology with a program from the Dutch government, Norhed. In addition, this workshop is also a collaboration between stakeholders, involving SBM ITB, the Bangka Belitung government, women entrepreneurs, and professionals.
The workshop activity consisted of two main themes of innovation, based on entrepreneurship activities regarding new inventions and marketing. There were reliable speakers in their fields, both nationally and internationally, Dr. eng. Nur Budi Mulyono, the Head of the Norhed SBM ITB Team, Dr. eng. Mursyid Hasan Basri from SBM ITB (also a local man from Bangka Belitung), Hj. Melati Erzaldi, SH, the Chair of the TP-PKK Bangka Belitung Province (Founder of “Sekuntum Melati”), Safitri Wijanarti, S.Si, MT, a certified photographer, and Fadhilah Amin Fathoni ST, MM the Digital Marketing Specialist-Smyle BV Amsterdam.
After the opening by Dr. eng. Nur Budi Mulyono as Chairman and Dr. H. Erzaldi Rosman as the Governor of Kep. Bangka Belitung, Fadhilah Amin Fathoni ST, MM, presented tips and tricks for promotion in digital media, followed by examples and practices. Next, the event continued with presentations of material in different forms, such as games designed by the game-making laboratory at SBM ITB. Dr. eng. Murshid Hasan Basri then presented materials regarding capacity in product production, remembering the importance of having a sound production system to find the right point between supply and demand. This event was ended with product photography practices using simple tools guided by Safitri Wijanarti, S.Si, MT.
