Collaboration with all parties is required to ensure the business ecosystem runs smoothly, including the government. This collaborative trend directs government policy through bureaucratic reform of government services, resulting the emergence of one stop public services, the National Single Window Institution (LNSW), established by the Ministry of Finance. SBM ITB invited Muhammad Faridl Hasan, the Head of Subdivision of the Organization, Human Resources, and Internal Compliance from LNSW, as a resource person to understand the related technical procedures. Monday (11/4/2022).
Before the establishment of LNSW, institutions connected only to exchange data. Overlapping data is common, resulting in a jumbled mess of existing data, leading to inefficiency and high costs.
“The data in these institutions overlap like a tangled electric cable. With the different document requirements in each institution, this can sometimes be a bureaucratic impediment,” Faridl explained.
The contents of the services function of the single window initiated by LNSW include services for revenue & taxation, transportation & logistics, trade policy implementation, health & public safety, and supply-chain security. With this support from the government, it is hoped that the business ecosystem will continue to grow, particularly in terms of exports.
At the end of the meeting, Faridl encouraged SBM ITB students to pursue career opportunities in the export-import industry.
“Exports are simple; we need to focus on determining commodities, preparing and studying business legal documents in the export process, utilizing government export facilities, and utilizing technology and the internet to develop export businesses,” he concluded.
