Glory Avenue, a team of three individuals from various universities, including Eli Sulistyowati from SBM ITB, succeeded in becoming champions in the UI Innovation War 2023 Business Case Competition. They not only succeeded in getting first place but also an award as a team favorite, the team with the best presentation, and the award as best speaker for Eli Sulistyowati for his pitching abilities.
In an interview after their win (19/10), Glory Avenue explained their motivation, communication strategy, and the cases they handled. A diverse team composition is driven by a desire to expand their connections, perspectives, and experiences.
By bringing together individuals from various backgrounds, they can approach problem-solving from various points of view, resulting in innovative solutions. The team also emphasized that effective communication and deadline commitment were crucial to success. On the other hand, this team also emphasizes the importance of always sharing information and open communication to collaborate smoothly and efficiently.
The case completed by Glory Avenue focused on overcoming the operational and marketing challenges faced by Titipku, a logistics start-up company in Indonesia. Their solutions include a comprehensive approach, targeting internal, external, and system-related issues. By providing a one-stop solution proposal, they successfully demonstrated the ability to identify the company’s problems and develop effective strategies to overcome them.
Eli shared experiences about collaborating with teams from various universities. He highlighted the importance of expanding connections and collaboration with individuals with different perspectives. Eli Sulistyowati admitted that there were many group discussions and project activities at SBM ITB that helped her get used to intense discussions and working effectively with new people.
