Identifying and getting the right talent is the key to ensuring company success; finding the right talent is not just about filling the vacancies.
“This is about securing the company’s future,” said Yunita Anggraeni, Co-Founder and COO of Geek Hunter, a pioneering IT Recruitment Consultant in Indonesia, during a session on “Talent Management for Growing Business” at SBM ITB, Wednesday (21/2).
The session began a strategic collaboration between The Greater Hub (TGH) SBM ITB and the West Java Transportation Department. This partnership aims to spearhead the improvement of public transportation facilities in the West Java region through regular coaching sessions. This inaugural session highlights the critical role of talent management in the growth of the business world and public services.
Yunita explained that the right talent can encourage innovation, increase productivity, and contribute significantly to a company’s competitiveness in the market. A comprehensive approach to talent management begins with establishing a clear organizational identity, including purpose, values, mission, and goals. Defining people’s competencies through competency and gap analysis and talent mapping is essential to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
According to Yunita, the next step is to determine human resource needs. This can be addressed externally by hiring a recruitment consultant or internally through talent reviews and succession planning.
Talent development is an essential next step, involving investment in the growth and development of employees to build a more competent and committed workforce. This process ends with career planning, which Yunita describes as “optimizing workforce planning and strategy” to ensure that talent management efforts are aligned with the organization’s long-term goals.
This coaching session is the first of many efforts to encourage the development of public transportation facilities in West Java. Through these initiatives, The Greater Hub SBM ITB and the West Java Transportation Agency are committed to improving the region’s public transportation system and setting benchmarks for talent management practices in the public sector.
