In this fast-paced era of digitalization, innovation is key to overcoming various problems and increasing engagement. Ilsa Savitri, Associate Consultant at Momenta Indonesia, a pioneer in innovation training, emphasizes that innovation does not happen instantly.

According to Ilsa, innovation starts with an idea that is continuously evaluated and developed to solve problems effectively. She also stressed the importance of embracing three core values in innovation: Grace, Curiosity, and Proactivity.

“Never be embarrassed to ask questions. Don’t worry about bothering others because your question could provide new knowledge for many people,” said Ilsa during a seminar at SBM ITB on Friday (1/6).

Ilsa stated that innovation is not exclusive. Anyone with the right skills and mindset has the potential to become an innovator.

Ilsa outlined methods for developing abilities as an innovator, beginning with identifying and understanding the problems many people face. Ideation is crucial in providing solutions. Start with small steps and gradually scale up your problem-solving efforts.

The next step is experimenting with researched solutions. It’s important to gather as much feedback as possible and ensure the solution meets the target audience’s needs.

“Seek support to present your ideas. Always emphasize the problem your solution addresses, how it benefits the environment, and the value you bring,” concluded Ilsa.

Ilsa conveyed that innovation is the discipline of applying ideas that solve problems in new ways to create value. She encouraged all attendees to dare to innovate for the future progress and welfare of society.
