The SBM ITB Entrepreneurship Student Association collaborated with various partners to hold two simultaneous events: the West Java People’s Market and Love for Nusantara Culture. These events took place at Pasar Atas Cimahi and Pasar Cihapit on Thursday (22/8), with the goal of empowering market communities through a cultural approach and digital innovation.
The event at Pasar Atas Cimahi was officially opened by Achris Sarwani, Deputy of Bank Indonesia for West Java. Other notable attendees included Fajarini Puntodewi, Head of the Trade Policy Agency at the Ministry of Trade, and Noneng Komara Nengsih, Head of the West Java Industry and Trade Service.
The guests could tour the market and engage directly with traders. A key component of the program was educating traders on using the QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard) payment system. Awards were also presented to traders who demonstrated entrepreneurial motivation and strong community involvement.
Following the opening at Pasar Atas Cimahi, the group proceeded to Pasar Cihapit, where competitions and cultural activities were held to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day. Seventy-nine prizes were awarded to market participants, blending cultural festivities with digital innovation to create a vibrant atmosphere.
