Profile
N. Nurlaela Arief or well known as Lala Arief is an Indonesian Public Relations (PR) practitioners that shifted to become an academician. Formerly she is Head of Corporate Communications of Bio Farma – Indonesia, a state-owned enterprise, a Biotech, currently developing into a Life Science Company.
During her professional career for more than 20 years, she has taken various structural and strategical positions such as Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Training & Human Resources Manager, Industrial Relations & HR Services, HR Information System and Corporate Secretary team.
She completed her Bachelor degree in the Faculty of Economics, majoring in Human Resource Management, Padjajaran University. She continued to Master of Business Administration, SBM-ITB. Furthermore, she graduated from Doctoral of Communication Science, of Padjadjaran University - Indonesia.
During January-March 2003, she completed the course of English Communication for Special Purposes at Nanyang Polytechic Singapore, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore.
She is also actively involved in both Indonesia and International organizations, such as in Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as a member. Also, she was an Indonesia delegation of UNESCO Global Geopark Conference in the UK In 2018. She has attended and presented in World Public Relations Forum 2018 in Oslo-Norway; in 2016 she attended and presented in ASEAN PR Conference held by Global Alliance and ASEAN PR Network. She has a certification and Accredited PR Practitioner (MIPR) from Perhumas Indonesia and London School of Public Relations; Certified in Sustainability Reporting Specialist from NCSR and GRI.
She has received some achievements such as 50 of the best Indonesia PR (2019), The best spokesperson for Pharma (2019), Insan PR Indonesia (2016), Tokoh PR Inspirational (Inspirational PR Figure) 2015, and the Best Public Relations Manager 2014 of BUMN, the best of Secretary Award in Asia Pacific (Mumbai-India, 2006).
Besides as practitioners, she dedicated to professional organization and community development, she trusted to become the Chairperson for Regional and Social of FHBUMN (2016-2018), and also as the Chairperson for PERHUMAS Indonesia for Bandung-West Java Chapter (2015-2017) and 2017-2020.
She is the author of books : Public Relations in the era of Artificial Intelligence, how big data and AI revolutionize communication profession, Corporate Communication, writing some of book chapters, an opinion in National Media, and popular and academic journal articles.
