Several technocrats of Indian descent are now commanding many of the world’s technology giants. Indians lead prestigious technology companies such as Nokia, IBM, and Google.
Currently, at least 16 names of Indian-American are leaders in the world’s technology companies. In addition, several other names of Indian descent have high positions in technology giants in the United States.
According to Rajkuwar Lagad, the majority of Indians are pursuing technology because India’s best universities have world-class technology department. In addition, technology is one of the disciplines that most students in India are interested in.
Rajkuwar’s explanation was delivered during a guest lecture for the 2022 Master of Science in Management class, in the Management of Thought and Research class, Friday, 4/11/2022. Lagad added that most young Indians are required to become engineers and doctors, except in Gujarat, where most young people are expected to become entrepreneurs.
After discussing the development of science and technology in India, Lagad explained the life system in India, namely the caste system. The caste system in India is indeed strict and affects a person’s judgment based on caste level. However, caste differences in India do not limit a person from determining the job he wants.
