The Entrepreneurship Program at SBM ITB invited the Co-Founder of Sanusa Food, Acep Lulu Iddin, S.T or Kang Acel as a guest lecturer in the Business Scale Up course on Friday, November 4, 2022. It was held on the 6th floor of the Freeport SBM ITB Auditorium.

Kang Acel explained the apparent differences between trading and doing business. He said in running a business, we should not just rely on ourself because it will be burdensome. Many human resources can be utilized. Our job is to build a portfolio of ourselves to be able to convince them.

Many large companies have lost their consumers’ trust due to a lack of attention to business ethics, such as Ajinomoto, Facebook, and Uber X. Business ethics is essential because it drives employee behavior.

“The time to build integrity is much longer than building skills. That’s why business ethics will only be effective when its implementation is carried out structurally,” he said.

Kang Ace also conveyed the principles of business ethics, including leadership, accountability, and respect for others and the law. Everyone has the right to dignity, privacy, equality, opportunity, compassion, and empathy. Ethical leadership must include the enforcement of all local, state, and country laws.

He closed the session by telling his experience in leading his company to build good business ethics. One of them is the implementation of high discipline, which dramatically affects the work performance of employees.
