Ghea Anisa, an MBA SBM ITB alumni with a wealth of experience in the FnB business world, successfully inspired dozens of MSMEs in the Temu Bisnis Mikro Mandiri event in Bandung on Saturday (26/10). The event, organized by The Greater Hub SBM ITB X KEMKOPUKM, was the closing event for a series of similar activities that had been successfully held in Yogyakarta, Semarang, and Makassar.

In a engaging sharing session, Ghea emphasized the importance of collaboration as the key to MSME success in the digital era.

“Collaboration is not only beneficial for business actors, but also provides significant added value for consumers,” said Ghea.

Ghea emphasized that collaboration among businesses goes beyond ordinary cooperation. It involves synergy in sharing resources, distributing workload, and pooling capital. By working together, the burden of costs and business risks can be shared evenly, thereby reducing pressure on each party. Collaboration also allows MSMEs to access broader resources and expertise, thereby increasing production and service capacity.

Moreover, collaboration fosters exchanging ideas and perspectives, often sparking innovations that further boost competitiveness. It opens up wider market opportunities and can significantly increase brand awareness. However, Ghea pointed out that not all collaborations are focused on boosting sales; many partnerships are formed to expand networks or build brand reputation.

For MSMEs aiming to start collaborations, Ghea advised exploring digital markets by leveraging e-commerce platforms and social media to reach broader consumer bases.

Another approach is brand-to-brand partnerships with others that target the same market segment, allowing businesses to create more attractive products or services.

She also recommended joining business communities, associations, and relevant events to broaden networks and connect with potential collaborators.

Holding joint events with other brands can also increase exposure and build strong consumer relationships, while bundling promotions, like hampers, can attract consumer interest and drive sales.

Ghea underscored that successful collaboration depends on commitment, effective communication, and clear definitions of roles, responsibilities, and profit-sharing arrangements. “All parties must share the same vision and work cohesively to achieve common goals,” she concluded.
